This afternoon walked the river trail up from Great Falls on the Maryland 
side. I did make what I think was an unusual mammal sighting. Has anyone 
seen these animals in Montgomery county or other parts of Maryland or is 
knowledgeable in this regard ?

      There is(or least there was) a population of Fox Squirrels in the 
Sycamore Landing area near the C&O towpath in Montgomery County.
