  Watch for the Carolina Wrens trying to eat the dog food balls - I have a pair who LOVE cat food and peanuts - it's amusing to watch that little wren wrestle that peanut - in fact I thought I had a tiny woodpecker somewhere till I found him battering the peanut on the picnic bench... he uses the same technique for the cat food.

Also of note ... I put out small chunck dog food for the Blue Jays. I noticed 
this morning a House Sparrow breaking it into smaller pieces to be able to 
chow down. Note: I just put out small quantities of the dog food in the 
morning so no remnants are left for the critters that roam the night.
