Hello all,

Below is a message Dan asked me to post to the listsev as he has had some issues with logging on.

I'd like to say thanks especially to Maren, Dan and Jim for organizing this CBC trial run. I look forward to participating again next year when the circle is officially established. I don't think it is too much of a stretch to say that a good time was had by all involved. And, some good birds were found along the way. I think with a few more eyes this count could be great.

  From Dan Small,

The following people participated yesterday in a trial
run CBC (yet to be named) centered on Chesterville,
Kent County: Jim and Trish Gruber, Doug Gill, Harry
Sears, Jason Guerard, Pete Blank, Jared and Zack
Parks, Helga Orrick, Maren Gimpel and Dan Small.

Some good birds were found despite it being mid-week,
during a hunting day, with little access to private
lands and the small number of observers. We plan to
make the count official for next year so keep an eye
out for the announcement.
