A leisurely 3.5 hr walk in the wooded verges with continual outlooks of the reservoir was
a better workout than birding experience. Highlights were 2 adult BALD EAGLES perched
together in a tree next to the water, close up looks at a PILEATED WOODPECKER, a
YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER, E. BLUEBIRD, GC KINGLET, B KINGFISHER, H. MER-
GANSER, BUFFLEHEAD, REDHEAD, GB HERON and HORNED GREBE. Notable by
their absence; A Coot. A complete list of 33 spp. follows:
