Hello all. I can not compete with a Tropical Kingbird, but did manage to have a
few nice finds today at work.
In the field near Old Field Point Road and Elk Neck Elementary School, I found
a small flock of Tree Sparrows.
There were 5 total. I also stirred up a beautiful Maryland Yellow-throat.
Down at the river in the same area, which is the Elk River, I had 3
Canvasbacks, 50 Ring-necked Ducks, 100 plus Scaup. I could only
identify Lesser Scaup, and 5 Common Mergansers.

In Elkton, at Meadow Park near the pond, a Fox Sparrow popped up when I
started Pishing.

North East town Park was a bit slow. But I can tell you. If anyone wants to go
to look for Gulls. There is no
Doubt. The Prime Gull viewing time is from 1:30 to 3:30 pm. I was there early
and left by about 1:30. As I was leaving
About 1000 plus gulls was coming in view from the landfill. This does seem to
fall in to the timing that I have been seeing.
I only had one Lesser Black-backed Gull. When I went down a couple mornings
ago, there was only a few Ring-billed Gulls.
Afternoons work there.
I did manage a few nice shots today. Especially of the Yellowthroat.

If anyone is interested, I am trying to get rid of a 100-300mm Canon lens. I
used it one week and then got surprised with a fantastic upgrade. E-mail me
off line if interesed in the lens and or in viewing some photos.
