Jim,

Actually, Jim Stasz made contact with the homeowners at this location
and with some of the other local homeowners, as soon as the bird had
been identified, to let them know why the birders were there and why
the bird was of interest. Several birders shared digital photos and
videos with the homeowners, as well as giving them looks through
scopes at the bird. We have also asked several times for visitors to
the area to be as thoughtful as possible of the needs of the local
residents.

To my knowledge, all of the locals have been quite pleased at being
included and were dealing well with the influx of birders. I would
imagine that at some point some of their patience may wear off but I
haven't heard any stories of angry or upset locals yet.

This had all been mentioned in a number of messages, especially the
earlier ones, so you must have missed that first batch.

Best,
Norm Saunders

I've seen mention of this property in several postings. I haven't
been and have no plans to go, but i was wondering if anyone knows how
the occupants of this property feel about all the recent commotion? I
haven't seen any mention of anyone having talked to the house
occupants, unlike, for example, the instance of the Black-chinned HB
in WVA, although i have to admit that i haven't read all the postings
from beginning to end.
