As part of the crowd that missed the Tropical Kingbird today, we went to
Blackwater late in the afternoon. Birds of possible interest were a pair of
EASTERN MEADOWLARKS along the road perhaps a half mile east of the start
of Wildlife Drive and a pair of GREATER YELLOWLEGS flying over Wildlife Drive
toward the Visitors' Center.

We saw three AMERICAN PELICANS. There were several groups of large white
birds huddling down for the night, more of which may have been pelicans but
many of which were swans. Large flocks of SNOW GEESE began flying around
at sunset.
