On Friday (5 January), Fran and I relocated the lone, seemingly tame
Redhead at Oakley Street, in Cambridge, this time in the company of
well over 1000 Canvasback and dozens of American Wigeon.
Temperature was about 70 degrees.

On Saturday (6 January), we dropped by Blackwater NWR, where we
again saw a juvenile Golden Eagle, along with all 25 of the White
Pelicans huddled together near the end of Wildlife Drive.
Temperature was a semi-tropical 75 degrees.

Today (7 January), figuring we couldn't put it off any longer, we
headed for Hoopers Island where we located Karen Morley, Shiras
Guion, and a single Eurasian Collared-Dove, all more or less across
the street from the 2542/2546 complex of homes. The dove was
sitting on a power pole, and Karen and Shiras were last seen heading
off in a cloud of dust, yelling something about "Tropical Kingbird
or Bust!" Temperature was a near-Arctic 50 degrees. Brrrrrrr.

Not a bad three days.

Best,
Norm
