Happy New Year to all!

 

I put up a brand new suet-feeder (with the "squirrel-proof" cage around it)
yesterday, and have been watching to see which of my regular customers would
figure it out first.

 

But today, lo and behold, what to my wondering eyes should appear, but a
male Baltimore Oriole! I live on the west side of Columbia, MD, and have
heard of orioles in the area this winter, but this is the first time I've
seen one in my yard-in January yet!
