WC sparrows have shown up in numbers today (more than
a dozen in a mixed-sex flock), or maybe i was just
paying closer attention than usual.  They are a
"guarantee" in S FRED CO any winter and have been here
for some time - can't remember how long.  Also present
were White throated and house sparrows, N cardinals (M
& F), and a male Downey.  Absent this winter season so
far are Red breasted Nuthatches.
