A typical winter day: Clear & cold (35-38 deg.F), w/some wind (7-12mph). I made a quick
check on waterfowl along Loch Raven Drive before parking at old Peerce's restaurant. A
3 1/2 hr. walk encompassing the immediate cove area, the open field before entering the woods
back of the active firing range and, finally, the open area surrounding the Gun Club entry road before
a return to Peerce's, via the pine plantation just opposite. Lots of walking, 32 spp. of birds.
