See Life Paulagics is running an offshore pelagic trip on Saturday,
Feb. 24 for winter seabirds. We plan on visiting Delaware and
Maryland waters. The boat is the 85' Thelma Dale IV, a fast,
comfortable boat with a full walk-around, birdable upper deck, heated
cabin with lots of benches, and separate men's and women's heads.

We will be looking for Fulmar, Great Skua, Kittiwake, Red Phalarope,
Razorbill, Dovekie, Atlantic Puffin, Common Murre, Thick-billed Murre,
Northern Gannet, Kittiwake and other gulls, whales, dolphins, and
anything else we might come across. The trip will run from 6:00 AM to
about 6:00 PM, and the cost is $130.

There seems to be a decent movement of Dovekies this year, so perhaps
we'll have another good year. We've done well with this species on
past trips out of Lewes, getting counts of 170 in '04 and 581 in '05.
Our pelagic CBC out of Belmar on Jan. 5 just had 7 Dovekies from 6 to
14 miles offshore, which is closer than I've ever found them before.

Here are the details:

        Port: Fisherman's Wharf, Lewes, DE
     Departs: 6:00 AM
     Returns: 6:00 PM (approximately)
Cost: $130 (incl. tip for mates)
