Hi all The Tundra Swan Snow Goose show is still going on near
Hurlock Md that was reported on Md Osprey yesterday . I was there the
better part of the afternoon sorting thru the birds , reading neck collars
I read 16 of them . A lone Cacking Goose and 1 Canada Goose presant
in the huge flock latter seen by Levian and Diane Willey as well . I
was able to pick out 1 Ross's Goose with 2 other interesting looking
Snow type geese . I was never able to relocate them again however . 2
adult Bald Eagles could be seen in the background trees . Other
vistors Shirley Baily , Diane Cole and a wide assortment of of other
birders , rubber neckers , peole stopping briefly looking at the grand
show and photographers . In a talk with a gentlemen that lives across the
road Diane cole was told that the birds have been there 3 days straight
including overnight . keeping his dogs in a constant state of barking
alert . He has never seen so many there before.
It was also reveled that the farmer was not able to harvest the corn do wet
conditions and just left it knocking or disking in over . Lots of corn
can be sen in the field . The geese and swan can be seen picking up
whole or mostly whole ears of corn to eat the kernals . It is quite a
sight to see that many thousands of Tundra Swan and Snow Geese in one place
   .

Happy birding
