True, some color bands can be reported via the web, but the site does not
allow reporting of birds with bands on both legs, or at least I have never
been able to figure out how to do it.
Pushing the issue too much may create extra work for my brother, which I
wouldn't want to do, and I once had the name and email address of the
person tagging sanderlings, which is what I do want to do.
Incidentally, while driving up Bayberry Drive after leaving the ORV on
Saturday, I heard woodcocks sky dancing (windows and sunroof were both open
because of warm weather). I stopped and listened to several birds go
through their routine. I missed them there on the Christmas count just 10
days earlier.
