Hi All,
The Kent County Bird Club will take an all day trip to the Atlantic
Coast of Maryland and southern Delaware on Sunday 21 January. We will
meet local folks traveling with us to the shore at 8:00 AM at the Dollar
General Store parking lot between Spring St. and Philosopher's Terrace.
Others wishing to meet us in Ocean City may look for us at the parking
lot at Ocean City Inlet around 10:30 to 10:45 AM. You should bring a
lunch, and we suggest wearing layers of warm clothing, that can be shed
or donned as the need arises; the maritime climate, with its onshore
breezes and humidity, can make even a mild day seem chilly.
The Atlantic Coast is a great place to do a day of winter birding. We
will search for loons and grebes, Brant, sea ducks, unusual gulls,
gannets, Purple Sandpipers and other shorebirds, Great Cormorant, and
gannet among many others. We hope to see you Sunday.
Good birding,
