Hi Chris, et al.
No, Clay-colored Sparrow was taken off the Maryland Review List in 1999.
BTW, anytime anyone wants to know what's on the current review list,
it's always accessible on the MD/DC Records Committee web pages at
the URL in my signature block. The direct link to the Maryland Review
List is here ...
http://www.mdbirds.org/mddcrc/pdf/mdreview.pdf
... it's only two pages ... I suggest that birders keep a copy tucked
inside their field guides ...
If you want to know even more about the history of the species in MD,
pull up a copy of the Maryland database, also on our web pages, and
do a search or find for "clay-colored" and you can see all of the
reports and records for the species in Maryland. Most of these are in
the "reviewable" category and are from the days after Stewart and
Robbins (1958) was published and the formation and early days of the
committee, up until the species was formally removed from the Review
List in 1999. Most of these historical reports were published sight
records that were not probably documented and will likely not be reviewed.
Hope this helps ...
Phil
