Weekend birds Queen Annes and Caroline Counties

Hi all sorry these reports are a little  late in getting out  leaving work 
late fri afternoon  1 - 19 - 07  on Carmichael Rd    at the corner of 
Pintail Point Farm and  Hunters Oak Golf  Course were  3  Ring Necked 
Pheasants at leadt 2 were males .   These are  turned lose for hunting 
though  .   On Saturday 1 - 20 - 07    while on my way  scouting  [ see next 
posting  ] for the Talbot County bird club walk  that  occured the next day 
I came across the following  birds .   The   RT 309 pond  near 213  there 
were lot of  Mallards and  Black Ducks .   At the Lake at  Tuckahoe State  
Park  on the Caroline Queen Annes County Border were a number  of Canada 
Geese in among the geese   was 1 winter plumaged   COMMON MOOREHEN   My 
first  for here and this time of  year . Latter Near Ridgely The Sparks road 
, Stevenson  Rd ,  Mason Branch  Road Farm fields  site  I  located a small 
flock of  Horned Larks  on Stevenson  upon  closer looks  through the  flock 
  I found  5  LAPLAND LONGSPURS  first  of the season for  here .
