I was very surprised to see a male Ring-necked Pheasant in the vicinity 
of the Patton Turf farm this afternoon. I was viewing a large flock of 
starlings feeding in one of turf fields when I heard an unfamiliar 
clucking behind me. Turned around and had a 20-25 second look at the 
bird on a dirt driveway before in went back in the brush.

I dont't know of one being reported from Montgomery since Oct 2004 when 
Joel Martin (no relation) heard one at Blue Mash.

The address on the mail box (black colored) of this driveway is 24301 
and its across from the 3rd turf field on the right heading down River 
Rd from Whites Ferry.
