Hi everyone,

The third time for me was a charm. I went out to the site on Bulle Rock parkway today at about noon and found the sparrow feeding on the ground on the field side of the hedgerow opposite from the big construction dirt pile. The bird was noticeably smaller than the juncos, white throateds, and song sparrows feeding near it. The gray neck and plain breast were clearly visible, and it let me look at it for a few minutes and it wasn't scared off by the noise of my camera snapping photos.

Dave Kimball and a few others arrived as I was leaving. I hope they got to see it too, and that my directions to the site were clear enough.

And I successfully crossed the foot-wide stream without falling on my face, belly, or camera this time.
