Fran and I decided to wander around Worcester County today, despite
the prolonged deep freeze.  As expected we didn't have a great amont
of success but there were a few highlights, such as the pair of
White-crowned Sparrows on Evans Road, the flock of 55 (or so) American
Pipits on Boxiron Road, between Truitt's Landing and Taylor's Landing
Roads, and the remarkable 43 Great Blue Herons we found lounging in
the marsh at the end of George's Island Landing Road in the extreme
southern part of the county.

Tomorrow we hope to go look for the Fry's Wilson's Snipe and then try
to get over to Deal Island if the weather holds.
