The MOS sanctuary, Irish Grove, needs your help with some substantial trail
maintenance.  All the "dry" trails on the sanctuary property need to have
undergrowth and debris removed, and perhaps some simple bridges built.  The
marsh trails need to be checked to make sure that the pole trail-markers are
still standing and appropriately placed under changing marsh conditions.
Crossings over channels may need repair or replacement.  Dotty Mumford will
be at Irish Grove the weekend of April 14-15 and she is hoping that a crew
of volunteers will join her.  (Several new beds have been purchased for the
house to make for a comfy overnight stay!)

 

Also, the Sanctuary section of the MOS website  (www.mdbirds.org
<http://www.mdbirds.org/>  ) has been updated and enhanced.  For example,
there are now bird checklists for Irish Grove, Carey Run, and Mill Creek.
You will also find directions there to Irish Grove.
