This afternoon was eventually successful for locating the previously reported Horned Larks and Lapland Longspurs at the Naval Academy Dairy Farm in Anne Arundel County. After spending some time with Joel Martin along Dairy Farm Rd with no luck, I found a vantage point in the back of shopping center along Rt. 3. From there a flock of Horned Larks flew north shortly after I arrived. I could see the Canada Geese better from this point and was able to pick out a single Richardson's Goose. There was also a male Northern Harrier hunting the field. I drove back around to Dairy Farm Rd and was joined by Marcy Stutzmann, Winger West, and Harvey Walsh(?). Winger found the Horned Larks feeding in front us and we were able to see a minimum of 5 Lapland Longspurs with them. That was the most I saw a one time.

In Harford County, there was a single Richardson's Goose in a goose flock on Rt. 136 just south of Goat Hill Rd. This flock is often here but stopping along the road is tricky at best.
