Pat Valdata has expressed concerned about duplicate e-mails.

Apparently this past weekend, LSoft was subjected to a "denial of
service" attack by a group of hackers in some obscure foreign
country. The impact was to slow the servers down and clog them with
incoming mail. None of this garbage mail made it through to any of
the lists hosted by LSoft, but the lists were slowed (lags of up to
10 hours or so) and many messages just got lost. So, what does this
have to do with duplicate messages? People posting to MDOsprey got
impatient and posted again (or again and again), resulting,
ultimately, in most of the messages getting through.

The answer is simple. If you post and don't see your message fairly
quickly, be patient and let the problem work itself out. If you
haven't seen your message within 24 hours and if there doesn't
appear to be much traffic on MDOsprey, then be patient for just
awhile longer.

This is a situation that is completely out of our control (and out
of LSoft's control, as well). If it really concerns you, write to
your representatives in Congress and express your concerns about the
lack of good hacker prosecution laws and international agreements on
controlling this sort of nonsense.

Best,
