Today from 7:30-8am at the Little Patuxent Oxbow Lake Nature Preserve. The
lake is mostly frozen, with a couple large areas that are open. The snow was
so frozen that I could walk on top of it! Only broke through a couple of spots
as I made my way from the entrance to the southeast point.
Trumpeter Swan #960 was huddled in the center of about 25-50 Canada
Geese in a small area of open water. There were three open areas of water all
together - one had 1 Ring-billed Duck (m) and about 25 Canada Geese. I didn't
see anything in the other open water.
