Was happy to hear at least one American Woodcock among
a few peepers in the dwindling fields near the UMBC
office park.  Standing near a storm-water pond, I was
mesmerized by hundreds of unseen blackbirds doing "the
wave".  Came home to finally watch "An Inconvenient
Truth", so all these "early signs of spring" are now
bumming me out!  (Sorry if sound like Debbie Downer.) 
Hats off to Al Gore, who is carrying the environmental
torch into the ionosphere.
