Hello Everyone,
I made my second trek to OC Inlet this year, this time in search of the TB
Murre. As others have indicated, it did not show. Other than the two
well-marked HARLEQUIN DUCKS under the nearby pier, the only birds of note
were a single COMMON EIDER hen leading a pack of Surf Scoters not too far
offshore flying southward (about 1 PM), and a northbound lone WHITE-WINGED
SCOTER a few hours later. The PURPLE SANDPIPERS were being extremely
cooperative along the rocks below the handrail today.
I now have almost as many year birds in MD as my home state of VA for 07 -
yechh!
