      House Wren used this materials in bluebird boxes with sticks and moss. My wren at bluebird boxes has same material as yours.  Carolina Wren used pieces from bale of hay, old grasses, weeds and can nest anyehere in the garage, flower pots, corner of window sills.....  I have 9 bluebird boxes in my 3 acres yard.  
   House Wren are common nester in bluebird boxes as well as Tree Swallows and sometimes chickadees.
