Yesterday eve when I got home I had 20-25 minutes to look around for birds,
and out on a mudflat at the river I saw my first Lesser Yellowlegs (4) of the
year, with 3 Greaters, and first Forster's Tern (one, in breeding plumage). The
tern made many passes and dives for about 15 minutes, and then moved on.
I also enjoyed hearing a winter wren singing prodigously before dusk.
This morning there is a large flock (~150-160) of tree swallows coursing over
the upper end of Jug Bay.
Cheers-
