Trying to assuage our disappointment of missing our Elderhostel program to Minden, NE to see Sandhill cranes, our flight was canceled Saturday and we had to cancel, we took a Thursday/Friday DelMar birding trip.  We had some great birds and formally ended our trip at Blackwater NWR.  It gave us Bald Eagles, Osprey, Tundra Swans, and WHITE PELICANS.  Doesn't get much better than this.
