I am at Perryville Town Park right now and Ducks are peppered all over the
flats, from the mouth of the North East River all the way down toward Turkey
Point then split in to a c and heading over the the Islands on the Aberdeen
Proving Ground side then up toward Havre de Grace. I am estimating about 20
to 30 Thousand Ducks! I started counting one hundered and then out to a
thousand and started estimating what a thousand birds looked like. I have
never seen so many birds at once in my life other than blackbird flocks. Most
of them are mixed Scaup, but I see Ruddys, Golden eye, Canvasbacks, Red
Heads, Bufflehead, Ring necked, Coots, Red breasted Mergs, Common Mergs,
Hooded Mergs.
I would say the best viewing would be from Perryville, becouse if you are on
the North East River side you wont see all of them and the same thing goes
from Havre de Grace.
Wow.
