Hi all,

Been out all day all over Eastern Shore today. Best bird was a Yellow-throated Warbler singing his heart out along Back Shelltown Rd in se corner of Somerset County. There are quite a few Pine warblers in various places. Gannets show was slow due to east wind.
I found the bittern early this morning that my friends saw yesterday. I didn't know about it until the lady came by the inlet to see the gannets around 615pm last night. She asked me if I ever saw a small yellow heron on a pond near a larger pond off of Golf Course Rd. At first I was confused what she was saying. I told her there is one pond at Eagle's Nest. Then she finally speak clearly and again mention a small pond near the large one off of Golf Course Rd. That means Riggen Rd Pond off of Golf Course Rd. She also mention of a small bluish-gey duck at a large pond (West Ocean City Pond). I told her it's probably a American Coot. They're fairly common here in winter at these pond.
My friends saw this bird in a good view, but mine was hiding with brief movement among the reeds. She was new to birding and I mentioned about joining bird club called Tri-County Bird Club. She have computer so hopefully she'll join us. There were over 50 visitors checking us out.

   Will have full report soon.
