Returning from a speaking engagement in Salisbury I made some stops on the lower part of the Nanticoke River in Wicomico County this morning. Among the birds seen were the following:

Cedar Hill Park, Bivalve
DC Cormorant 15
Surf Scoter 85
Greater Scaup 1 female, other scaup too far out to identify
Goldeneye 5

Along Nanticoke Road between Bivalve and Nanticoke
Wild Turkey 24, with adult males displaying
Purple Martin 1 male

Nanticoke
Surf Scoter 160

Roaring Point
Scaup hundreds, most too far out to identify, all close birds Lesser
Surf Scoter 60
Bonaparte's Gull 1
Chipping Sparrow 2

I also stopped at Great Marsh Park in Cambridge where I saw 40 Canvasbacks, hundreds of scaup (only Lesser close enough to identify), and another 275 Surf Scoters.
