Hi,

Yesterday while I was rock climbing at Carderock I heard a Louisiana
Waterthrush singing. Spring is here!

Carderock is along the Potomac just upstream from the DC beltway. There
are some interesting cliffs along the river here and it is a good place to
access the C&O canal. In past springs at the start of climbing season I
have heard Rusty Blackbirds singing here in breeding plumage. I did not
see any of these there yesterday but it is great habitat and there are
probably some around (Tim Ray and I did see a few during lunch at the
Lanham Swamp in PG Co)

Enjoy spring!
Tom
