Hi all,
Is anyone aware of the ID of the hawk or owl that I have seen twice at
Oregon Ridge Park? I saw it this afternoon fly out of the fenced-in marsh
area. I was near that old falling down building when I turned toward the
direction of the nature center, and I saw this bird flying out of the marsh
area being pursued by a lone Red-winged Blackbird.
This bird was brownish-red (or reddish-brown?), and had a good sized
wingspan. It would have to be something that could easily navigate among
the trees there, as it went off into the woods near the nature center.
Good birding,
Richard
