I have two things to add.
First, my friend has a farm here in Southern Elkton that he owns and goose
hunts in the fall. 6 years ago his Dad shot what he thought was just a small
Goose coming in with a flock of Canadas. He called me up in a panic thinking
he shot something rare or something he shouldn't have shot. He just didn't
know what it was. So I went over to see what the heck he did and saw that
this was a perfect Ruddy Shelduck. It made a wonderful mount. So I guess
you could say he collected it. It had no bands on it by the way.
Second, if I was gathering this information, It would of interest to me to know
what kind of records were occuring in Delaware. Birds don't see borders or
state lines and we share allot of the same birds in this area.
