There were over 300 Tree Swallows this evening at Centennial Lake. I
scanned through them for a while and picked out ~15 Barn Swallows and 4
Northern Rough-winged Swallows. Then I chickened out because I wasn't
adequately dressed for this warm weather. Also present were a Common
Loon (a gorgeous alternate plumaged individual), 1 Osprey, 1 Wilson's
Snipe, 1 Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, lots of Yellow-rumps, etc.

While at work in White Marsh earlier this week (Tuesday 4/3/07) I had 4
NRW Swallows and a Purple Martin in addition to the Barns and Trees.
Also Rusty Blackbird, 50 GW Teal, 2 Wood Duck, 2 Gnatsnatchers, 5 Snipe,
2 Greater Yellowlegs and a Killdeer on eggs. Unfortunatly this wetland
is on private property without alternate easy viewing, so I guess I'm
just a jerk for mentioning it.

Cheers,
