Hi Jay,
Perhaps they could move the birdhouse a bit farther from the house. Maybe
the bluebirds are defending a territory, which includes the house area, and
moving it farther away will stop the defensive behavior towards their windows.
Just a thought...

P.S. These birds can be highly territorial, despite what the books say. A
few years ago I had a pair nesting in a box on our common area, and every time
anyone went anywhere nearby, the male came flying out and "attacked" the
intruder. This went on for some time, and is the only bluebird I ever saw with
that much audacity!
