Hi all,
   
  Late this morning I had an opportunity to run out to the locks and do some birding.
  Although I was trying for (hopefully) Red throated Loon, none was to be seen.
  The wind & the lighting were not the best.
  Here's a brief list:
  VL: 20-25 Double crested Cormorants
   1 Pied billed grebe
  2 ring billed gulls
  1 Osprey
  3 Turkey Vultures
  3 Golden crowned Kinglets
   
  RL: 2 Mallards
    1 Great Blue Heron
  1 Great Egret (a brief sighting)
   2 Red breasted Mergansers (Drakes)
  3 DC Cormorants
   
  D. Ford/Bethesda
