My Nikon Egret II's (8 x 40) seemed to be having a
focusing problem about 6 months ago.  When i called
Nikon to inquire about the cost of repair i was told
the charge would be $20 and return shipping was
included in that amount.  Subsequently, the bins
magically repaired themselves, but that seemed like a
pretty good deal considering that no questions were
asked about age, or receipts.

At Ripley Garden this morning, i observed a banded
(right leg, metal band) Mocking bird?

OT:  The cherry blossoms are well past peak - by the
weekend they should be history!
