Did a pre-work walk this morning, in unseasonably cold temperatures, around Greenbelt Lake, PG County.Highlights were 4-6 Northern Rough-Winged Swallows (FOY), and a half a dozen Tree Swallows, skimming for insects over the lake.

    Other sightings included:

_ Ruddy Ducks (11) Seems kind of late?
_ Common Grackles, loads of them, building nests
_ Wood Ducks (3), one of whom flew from a tree, where presumably it was nesting.
    _ Ruby-Crowned Kinglet
    _ White-Breasted Nuthatch
    _ White-Throated Sparrows, 2.
    _ Song Sparrows, 3-5, singing.

Plus Cardinals, Mockingbirds, Mallards and CAGOs.

    Good Birding!
