The April 7 Carroll County Bird Club walk at Morgan Run Natural Environment
Area (South) had light participation (just me). In three hours, I had 28
bird species, the best of which were a singing Louisiana Waterthrush and
singing Hermit Thrushes. Snow was just a thin veneer, so I left my
snowshoes in the car. Wind was light (3-4 knots), and the temperature
hovered around freezing. The heavy overcast skies meant few birds were
visible, but calls and songs were abundant.
See you on the next trip.
