Hi Everybody,

Nancy and I had an afternoon errand around 3:00 PM in Chestertown and on
the way in we noticed some birds of interest along Flatland Road
(MD-514). First was a Great Egret on the small ponds at the sharp bend
in 514 near Porter's Grove Road. We then noticed a large number of birds
around the ponds west of the road just north of Mary Morris Road. There
were a lot of Bonaparte's Gulls (ca. 120) accompanied by a single adult
LITTLE GULL swooping over the north pond. Also present were Green-winged
Teal, shovelers, and Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs. When we returned
over an hour later the gulls were far away; off to the west following a
tractor with a disc-harrow. Perhaps the birds will still be around tomorrow.

Good birding,
