Two Brown Thrashers stopped on the yard right outside my window today,
and one picked up some nesting material and carried it away.
A Pied-billed Grebe showed up on Leeds Creek right in front of our
house. (FOY on property list.)
A Chipping Sparrow appeared on part of the lawn where some seeds had
been tossed several days ago. (Another FOY on property list.)
In the middle of town (in Easton) this morning two Rough-winged Swallows
were exploring an industrial equipment storage lot - perhaps looking for a
nice nesting site.
A single female Hooded Merganser was also on Leeds Creek today.
