In the late afternoon I was lucky to see the following amid the few showers:

Horned grebe       1 pair in breeding plumage briefly doing courtship ritual
Pied-bill grebe      1 pair
Common loon      12
Bufflehead            1 pair
DC cormorants
Canada geese
Red-winged Blackbird   1
Great blue heron      1
Swallow sp. perhaps rough-winged
