Hi all

Having to work all day Saturday, I regretted not getting out to bird. As I 
started to drive away from the church where I serve, I noticed a passerine, 
larger than a sparrow, smaller than a robin, running along the sidewalk. My 
first thought was that it was a thrush. Stopping the car, getting out to 
look  - and the bird didn't fly away!! - my first thought was Hermit Thrush. 
Stepping back to the car to get my bi's - the bird was still there!! - the 
rusty tail gave it away. I didn't post this yesterday, but as I write this 
post, I hear outisde my office a Hermit Thrush Singing in the Rain. Not 
anything spectacular, but a new bird for the year, and for my office list.
