In the afternoon Stan Arnold, Marty Miller, and I made a quick stop at Piney Run Park but did not see the White-winged Scoter or Moorhen. Many waterfowl seem to have departed. I did not have enough time to count everything so this is an incomplete list of the birds:
Black Duck 2
Lesser Scaup
Bufflehead
Hooded Merganser 1 female
Red-breasted Merganser 9 females
Ruddy Duck 19
Common Loon
Pied-billed Grebe 4
RED-NECKED GREBE 1
DC Cormorant
Osprey 1
BROAD-WINGED HAWK 3 soaring in the distance
Bonaparte's Gull 39
Ring-billed Gull 2
Caspian Tern 1
CHIMNEY SWIFT 1 mixed in the swallows, my first of the year

At Liberty Lake in the evening with Bill Ellis and Kevin Graff:
Canada Goose 11
Wood Duck 4
Mallard 2
Common Merganser 2, a pair, Baltimore Co. only
Red-breasted Merganser 6 females
RED-THROATED LOON 1, non-breeding plumage
Common Loon 1
Pied-billed Grebe 7
Horned Grebe 4
RED-NECKED GREBE 3
DC Cormorant 194, numbers down slightly
Osprey 1, Baltimore Co. only
Bald Eagle 1 immature
Bonaparte's Gull 15
Yellow Palm Warbler 3, Carroll Co. only

Kevin saw additional birds earlier.
