My husband and I had an exceptional day at Susquehanna State Park with a
total of 16 warblers! We birded the main parking lot area, Rock Run mill area
and the wood edges at Lapidum. The warblers included: PROTHONOTORY,
CERULEAN, NORTHERN PARULA, YELLOW RUMPED, BLACK THROATED BLUE,
AMERICAN REDSTART, COMMON YELLOWTHROAT, BLACK THROATED GREEN,
YELLOW, BLACK AND WHITE, PALM, LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSH, NASHVILLE,
OVENBIRD,YELLOW THROATED AND BLUE WINGED. Other good birds included a
GREEN HERON at the pond at the main parking area, both ORCHARD and
BALTIMORE ORIOLES, BLUE HEADED, RED EYED and WARBLING VIREOS,
EASTERN KINGBIRD and WOOD THRUSH. Good birding to all and enjoy this
wonderful Spring Migration!
