Greetings,

I must apologize for not posting sooner.

Thursday, 4/19, there 25 Greater Yellowlegs, 7 Lesser Yellowlegs, a lone
Dunlin, 2 Killdeer, 7 Blue-winged Teal, 15 Ring-billed Gulls, 22 Bonaparte’s Gulls
and an assorted array of blackbirds gallivanting around a flooded field on
Spesutie Island at the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Harford County.

Friday, my family and I went to the Susquehanna State Park in Harford
County. There were a few bonnies out on the River as well as a Yellow Palm
Warbler, 2 Pine Warblers, 4 Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, Eastern Phoebe, dozens
of Chipping Sparrows, Barn Swallows, and a Pileated Woodpecker at the park's
playground area. Wildflowers were also in abundance as everything seems to
be peaking. Flowers seen included Dutchman's Breeches, Trillium, Jack-in-the-
Pulpit, Garlic-Mustard, Toothwort, Spring Beauty, Wild Ginger (still budding),
and Virginia Blue-bells (just starting). Butterflies included Cabbage White,
Spring Azure, and Question Mark.
NOTE: Rock Run road, which leads from Rout 155 to the area of the park at
the Old Mill is closed and looks as though it will remain so for some time. To
access the park you will have to come in from the Lapidum Boat landing or
Stafford road from the north.

This morning, Sunday, A quick look outside my bedroom window produced my
FOY (for the yard) Yellow-rumped Warbler (4).

I also had my FOY Orange Sulfur butterfly in the yard yesterday, April 21.

Good Birding,
