I had a call Saturday evening (4/21) from Jim Morrin (Talbot County
birder with excellent skills) telling of some fine shorebird sightings at
Covey's Landing - up toward the north-east corner of Talbot County. He had
been there between 5:00 and 7:00 pm.
    He mentioned;
RUFF (coming into alternate plumage), AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVER, and
numerous other shorebirds - Pectorals, Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs, one
Least Sandpiper, amongst others.

Today during a brief early afternoon visit the site held:
	Ruff	1
	Golden Plover	1
	Glossy Ibis	6
	Cattle Egret	1
	Pectoral Sandpiper	10
	Least Sandpiper 3
	Greater Yellowlegs	35
	Lesser Yellowlegs 15
	Laughing Gull ~ 300
	Ring-billed Gull ~ 200

The flooded field provides a pond of about 5 acres at the intersection
of Lewistown Road and Covey's Landing Road. Road shoulders are somewhat
narrow, but are sufficient for temporary use while viewing.
