One of our large feeders (always filled with millet & blk oil) broke this
winter during freezing weather so I replaced it with a small 2-perch tube feeder.
This PM we had two male Indigo Buntings making moves to fit on the small
perches. A male & female Rose-breasted Grosbeak pushed them away, landed on the
perch corners, and reached into the hamper for some sunflower seeds. A few feet
away a male Towhee gave the best sounds he could muster - two fairly clear
whistles with a really husky toot.
A Yellow Warbler explored our new water feature.
Can't wait to see what tomorrow will bring!
